Drew Johnson a graduate of North Carolina Roads Scholar Program

The North Carolina Local Technical Assistance Program (NC LTAP) is pleased to announce Drew Johnson as a 2009 graduate of the North Carolina Roads Scholar Program. Mr. Johnson is a Development Inspector for the Town of Holly Springs, managing the upkeep of the streets and right-of-ways within the city.

Administered through NC LTAP at the Institute for Transportation Research and Education (ITRE) at NC State University in Raleigh, the program provides high quality training at affordable costs for government agencies in the areas of road fundamentals, safety, drainage, snow and ice removal, and training management Each participant must complete at least seven of the courses designated with Roads Scholar credit to complete the program.

“Participants gain expertise and receive targeted training through this program,“ says Linda Collier, assistant director of the LTAP program, “Drew has not only enhanced his education but can help his division better serve the citizens of Holly Springs.”

NC LTAP is funded by a grant from the Federal Highway Administration and is one of 58 centers in the United States.
