Three students from Holly Grove Elementary School, Benjamin Edwards, Joanne Osewe, and Kayci Rogers, were selected to the North Carolina Elementary All State Honors Chorus that performed for the North Carolina Music Educators Conference, Sunday, Nov. 13, in Winston-Salem. These students are a part of the Hedgehogs in Harmony, an auditioned fourth and fifth grade chorus that meets once a week before school, under the direction of Mrs. Claudia Dickens, music specialist at Holly Grove Elementary. Mrs. Wiladean Thomas is principal at Holly Grove.

Over 500 students from 133 schools from across our state auditioned for the Honors Chorus and 191 students were selected. Wake County Public Schools were represented by 11 students.
