On Wednesday, April 21, teammates, family, and coaches gathered in the HSHS Media Center to see Hawk wrestling standout Jake Reinemund officially sign to wrestle at Division I Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. Reinemund who went 42-7 this past season while earning a top-9 state finish, will become the second (in as many graduating classes) from the HSHS program to go on to wrestle at the collegiate level.
“Jake’s a guy who has a strong desire to continually improve. He’s never complacent with just simply winning. He wants to dominate his opponent and that’s the mentality that you have to bring each and every time you step on the mat” said Coach Brandon Inge. “Coaches Tuttle, Long, and I are obviously very proud of Jake and know that he will represent the wrestling program, Holly Spring High School, and the Holly Springs community well.”
Reinemund has plans to major in Business Management at GWU.
